UCAS application help for Indian students: UK undergraduate admissions.
Five university choices. One application. Are you making the strongest case for your chosen subject? Our UCAS application help covers course choice, the three-question personal statement, admissions tests, your school's reference and interviews. Oxford, Cambridge and most medicine courses closed on 15 October 2026, but most UK courses accept 2027 applications until 13 January 2027, and planning for 2028 entry starts now.
Why good UCAS application help starts with the subject.
In the UK you apply for a degree subject from the first day, and every part of the application has to argue for it.
A UCAS application is one case for one subject, read by up to five universities. You choose the course before you apply, write a single personal statement that all your choices see, and your school adds a reference and predicted grades before the application can reach UCAS. Depending on the course, universities then add an admissions test, an interview, or neither. LSE, for example, does not interview any undergraduate applicants, so the written application has to do all the work.
Indian applicants meet traps that UK students don't. Board rules differ: LSE and King's accept Class XII only from CBSE or CISCE, Warwick considers state boards case by case, and Cambridge accepts CBSE Class XII only at some Colleges and for a list of courses that leaves out the sciences, engineering, mathematics and economics. LSE, and Warwick for Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, do not accept Applied Mathematics where maths is required. Admissions tests are booked outside UCAS, on their own deadlines. And students send their board results to universities themselves.
We plan the application around the course, not the brand name. Our mentors from top universities help the student choose a subject they can argue for, build the reading and projects that give the statement substance, and prepare for the tests and interviews that follow. We have no admissions partnership with any university and are never paid by one. We work directly with the student, and parents are welcome throughout.

How our UCAS application help works.
Six pieces of work, each matched to how UK universities actually decide.
Profile and subject assessment
We start with the subject: the student's board marks, subject combination and interests, and whether the chosen course is one they can argue for in three answers and, where required, an interview.
Course and university selection
Five choices that are realistic against each Class XII or IB requirement, close enough to share one statement, and within UCAS rules: usually one course at Oxford or Cambridge, and no more than four in medicine, dentistry or veterinary science.
Application planning
One calendar for UCAS, admissions tests and your school's internal deadline, so the reference and predicted grades are ready well before 13 January 2027.
The three-question personal statement
Drafting and editing across UCAS's three questions within 4,000 characters, built from the student's own reading and work, in the student's own words. See our guide to the three questions.
School references and predicted grades
If your school is new to UCAS, we help the student brief the referee on UCAS's three-section reference. Predicted grades cannot be changed once the application is sent, so they need to be right first time.
Interviews and offers
Mock interviews for Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and medicine, then help choosing firm and insurance offers and sending board results on time.
Choose the support your family needs.
Both start with a conversation about the student, not a package.
Application-Only Support
For 2027 entry applicants who know their subject and universities and want expert help before 13 January 2027.
- Shortlist check against board, IB and test requirements
- Personal statement across the three questions, drafted and edited
- UCAS form, choices and a deadline plan

UCAS applications: questions Indian parents ask
Is it too late to apply to UK universities for 2027 entry?
No, for most courses. UCAS's equal consideration date for most undergraduate courses is 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027. Oxford, Cambridge and most medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses closed on 15 October 2026, so for those, plan for 2028 entry now. Your school must add its reference first, so expect an earlier internal deadline.
What is the new UCAS personal statement?
Three questions instead of one essay: why you want to study the course, how your studies have prepared you, and what else you have done outside education. Each answer needs at least 350 characters, within 4,000 characters in total including spaces. Our guide to the UCAS personal statement explains each question with examples.
Do UK universities accept CBSE, ISC and state board marks?
Usually yes for CBSE and CISCE (ISC); state boards vary. Imperial, LSE, King's, Warwick and Edinburgh all publish CBSE and CISCE requirements. LSE and King's accept Class XII only from CBSE or CISCE, and Warwick considers state boards case by case. Cambridge accepts CBSE Class XII only at some Colleges and for some courses; for other boards and courses it strongly recommends further study such as A Levels, the IB or five AP tests at score 5. Check the table above and the course page.
How do predicted grades and conditional offers work for Indian students?
Your school predicts the Class XII or IB results it expects you to achieve and adds them with the reference; they cannot be changed once the application is sent. Offers are usually conditional on final results, set as Class XII percentages or IB points. UCAS sends IB results to universities, but students with most other international qualifications, including Indian boards, send their own. You reply to offers, with a firm and, if you wish, an insurance choice, by the date UCAS gives you.
Which admissions tests will my child need?
It depends on the course. The UAT-UK tests (ESAT, TMUA and TARA) are used for specific courses at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, Warwick and Durham; the LNAT for law at universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL and King's; the UCAT for medicine. Each UAT-UK test can be taken only once per cycle. The last 2027 entry sitting is 4–8 January 2027, with booking expected to open on 28 October 2026 and closing on 21 December. UCAT testing for 2027 entry has ended.
How much does a UCAS application cost?
The UCAS fee for 2027 entry is £34.50 for up to five choices. Some universities and tests add their own costs: Cambridge charges £60 for My Cambridge Application to applicants outside the UK and Ireland (some are exempt), and each UAT-UK test costs £133 outside the UK and Ireland. The LNAT and UCAT charge their own fees.
Will my child need IELTS?
Not always. Edinburgh accepts CBSE or CISCE Class XII English at 75%, and Warwick 75% to 85% at the first attempt, depending on the course. Check each university before booking a test.
Do you have tie-ups with UK universities?
No. We have no admissions partnership with any university and are never paid by universities, so our advice is in the student's interest.
Applying to UK universities for 2027 or 2028?
Tell us the student's class, school curriculum (CBSE, ISC, IB or other), intended course, target universities and entry year. A consultant will reply personally.
- January 2027 applicants. There is still time to build a strong application before the 13 January equal consideration date.
- Oxbridge and medicine for 2028. Class 11 is when subject choice, reading and test preparation make the difference.
- No tie-ups. We are never paid by universities, so the shortlist is built for the student.
