Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year business course that meets industry needs and aids management aspirants in developing relevant hard and soft skills to become management professionals who are prepared for the workplace. It is a diploma program rather than a degree program because only institutions under the control of the University Grants Commission (UGC) are authorised to grant degrees. AICTE-recognized independent B-Schools offer a 2-year diploma program emphasising practical management knowledge. Both the PGDM and MBA courses deal with business studies at the postgraduate level.
Since the PGDM Syllabus is market and industry-focused, many working professionals and students favour this management course. It adapts its curriculum to reflect the most recent market trends. Most MBA candidates want to work in a high-profile management position for a multinational corporation. Many seek employment that will give them numerous opportunities to demonstrate their aptitude and abilities, stretch their knowledge and thinking, and satiate their competitive nature. With courses on various business functions like Marketing, Operations, Finance, Business Analytics, HR, and Organizational Behavior, the PGDM program prepares them for this. The program also teaches participants soft skills like teamwork and communication to develop progressive and mature leaders.
