The ISB YLP program

The ISB YLP program, also known as the ISB Young Leaders Program, is a new alternative launched by Indian School of Business in 2011. This allows young achievers – applicants who are still in college – to apply to the ISB PGP (i.e the regular ISB MBA program) and gain their admits before they graduate. The applicants are then required to work for two years, and also attend post which they are granted a place in the ISB PGP class. They graduate from ISB as regular PGP applicants.

The ISB YLP Admits

What is different about the ISB YLP?

Contrary to popular perception, the ISB YLP is not just different from other options for entry to the PGP in terms of requiring no work experience. It is different along a number of factors:

  •   YLP applicants gain their admit before they graduate from college. That is a huge relief – imagine being guaranteed admission to one of the most sought after MBA programs in India before you finish college!
  • YLP participants attend four learning weekends at ISB, during each of which they learn from top ISB alumni and teachers. The topics covered during these learning weekends are usually around the basics of management, development of soft skills, learning teamwork, and making the right career choices. Top notch training right at the beginning of your career!
  • Successful ISB YLP candidates also get a scholarship of 1 lakh INR. At the start of your career, that is a good percentage of the annual salary you earn!
